Call this love opera The melody that radiates from you Touches the darkest soul You a priestess, tamed a savage, heartless creature I caught you with my gaze, I healed your loneliness, I penetrated your light Sipping the moonlight, only breeds the rarest flow Sunlight can’t comprehend this sky The stars dimmed The universe changed, The flow The beat was sedated Call it insomnia, How could I sleep in your presence Death retreated The challenge was learning your name It needed to be caressed from your mind The infinite prototype I had to question your origin Was I dreaming? Perfection only comes from a pure mind I slaughtered many I slept easily, but my mind Could not rest until you were captured Your name escaped me My lips denied me to question Denied me from asking you I could only try to touch Touch what? I fought my urges, It felt weird Going against my nature Committing suicide to my ego Killing pride? My defenses, the force field, Regressed, The floor vibrated, My heart was exposed All those years of conquest Reminded me of the hunger I felt Nothing would satisfy the pain Your touch, your intellect left me full How? Why? The end I sought was revealed, But how much would I have to sacrifice to learn your name? Copyright 2008-2009 PoetryVote, Inc. All Rights Reserved
